The other day, I learned how bricks are made in Epworth, a poor location on the outskirts of Harare.
Start by finding some decent soil. Ideally, as was the case here, it's soil from an anthill. Then get a bucket of water and start digging.
When you have a clump of soil, mix it with water and put it in a mold like this one.
Pack it in tight, then dump the rectangles of mud onto flat ground under direct sunlight.
Let it dry.
Then build a house.
Be sure to cover the house with a tarp. If you don't, it will revert back to mud during the rainy season.
