Istanbul

I was there last week, on Monday and Tuesday. It was nice to be back near the Golden Horn. We walked for hours and hours through markets and narrow streets, took a tram across the city, swam in the Marmara Sea, took a boat tour (for free!), walked the evocative Galata bridge, and spent an evening in Beyoglu. It's Ramadan right now; the highlight of the trip was eating after sunset with all of the Turks who were breaking their fasts each night.
