Some things about this country may surprise you. I took this shot 40 meters from the Mediterranean Sea along a huge promenade in Tripoli. This man was wearing a Pau Gasol Lakers jersey.
The sea stretches out behind the shooter. Off to the left, big buildings near Tripoli's center. This sports complex, free to anyone who walks by, has a soccer pitch, a basketball court, and a tennis court. Plus a nice view of the sea. One of the guys I played basketball with turned out to be a tugboat operator. After the game, he invited me onto his brand-new boat for a tour.
