The nation of Malta, located in the middle of the Mediterranean below Sicily, consists of three main islands: Malta, Comino, and Gozo. Malta's by far the biggest, but it's not very big -- about 17 miles from end to end, and about 9 miles wide at its widest.
But it packs a lot of beauty into a small space.
Here's where it's located. Squint really hard to actually see it.
And here is a map of the three islands. Malta's the one on the bottom. Comino is the small one in the middle, and Gozo's on top.
