Albania has recently "completed" a new road significantly shortening travel time across the country to the Kosovo border. It looks like this. Well, sometimes it looks like this. Other stretches are still narrow and in disrepair. And much of the supposedly four-lane road is actually limited to 2 lanes at this point. But still, the road works, and we were grateful for it.
Bunkers like these are common throughout Albania. Many have been repurposed in clever ways. Here's a good story explaining how they got there.
