Over 700 miles of driving in our Silver 1998 Chevy Blazer -- which we were paid $50 plus a tank of gas to drive from DC to Tulsa (thanks autodriveaway.com!) -- put us in Little Rock around midnight. Much of the long drive was on the Bluegrass Parkway, as we drove clear across Kentucky. We did find time to stop at a river and take in the scenery.

A River Festival was winding down when we reached Little Rock, but some folks were still dancing when we arrived.

Then, it was off to the Electric Cowboy just outside of town. Best spot in Little Rock to watch people line dance to hip-hop. Then a no-frills sleep at the Motel 7.
