South of Le Kef, which is a lovely town situated on top of a mountain (with a delightful hotel for $5 per night where we watched part of Lord of the Rings, dubbed in French, with three Tunisians), we happened upon this site on the side of the road, near a small village. There was no entrance fee and our only company among the ruins was olive trees. There was a nice hill nearby -- in the background of the third picture below -- for a little hike and a view of the setting sun and the countryside.
