I flew in this little guy about 400 km north to Kamina, which is still in the southern part of the Congo. My pilot, Gaston, flies rescue missions from various airports in the south. When he receives a call that someone is seriously ill where there is no medical care, he flies to get them and take them to a hospital. Fuel is so expensive in the Congo (when it is available at all) that many pilots go to Lusaka, Zambia to buy it.
A shot of the mighty Congo river.
